Terms of use


AXN is an electronic unified advanced analytics platform that facilitates access to and use of several Lean Business Services’("Lean") products, which helps to reach the largest number of users and their awareness of the services and tools provided by Lean, and the platform serves public and private sector entities, including healthcare providers, as well as individual students and researchers.

By registering, using and/or browsing the Platform or any associated service, the User hereby acknowledges and agrees to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy and abides by them and to all related regulations issued by the Kingdom from time to time. Therefore, it is necessary to read the Terms of Use carefully before using the Platform and benefiting from it. It is also recommended to obtain a printed copy of these terms to be able to revisit them in the future.

  1. Definitions
    • Platform: refers to AXN an electronic platform used to provide tools for data analysis and artificial intelligence services.
    • Services: all services a User may benefit from by registering to the Platform mentioned in Clause (2) of these Terms.
    • Kingdom: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
    • User: A User is a natural person that accesses and/or uses any of the services provided on the Platform.
    • Administration: refers to Lean including its directors and employees. It also includes, in respect of any of its parts or services, contractors and/or implementing partner entities in respect of that part or service and the employees of any of them.
  2. Uses of Platform
  3. Registering on the Platform allows users to access several data products - including data analysis tools - owned by the Administration, these products include the following:

    • DRG
    • Medical Data Quality
    • Diabetic Retinopathy
    • NLP Framework
    • Chronic Disease Prediction
    • Terminology Engine
    • Any product may be added by Administration in the future.
  4. Registration
    • Individuals are required to be (18) and above to register
    • For an entity to be registered, the User must be an authorized person or delegated by an authorized person to do so.
    • Registration requires the provision of user data in accordance with the Platform's privacy policy, and data includes, but is not limited to, the following
      • Individuals’ data: first name, last name, email.
      • Establishments’ data: the name of the establishment, the country, the website of the establishment, the sector of the establishment, the information of the person authorized to register on behalf of the establishment, and the establishment's account administrator on the Platform, including the first and last name, email and mobile phone number.
    • Upon registration, the User is required to set a password for its account registered on the Platform, and must include at least one uppercase letter, at least one lowercase letter, at least one special symbol (example: @#) and at least one number.
  5. User Obligations
  6. By registering and using the Platform, the User undertakes the following obligations:

    • Not to offer false, misleading data or information which might be altered.
    • Bear all fines imposed by the relevant entities or any entity that has legislative authority based on violating any of the subject of those regulations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
    • Maintain confidentiality of the data submitted to the Platform and not enable it to be used by other unauthorized people or disclosed in a manner that is contrary to applicable laws or regulations relating to the collection, processing, storage and disclosure of personal and sensitive data.
    • Not to upload files which contain harmful software or viruses or corrupt data to the Platform.
    • Not to access or try to access any data or information through illegal means.
    • Not use any means, program or procedure to intercept or attempt to intercept the correct operation of the Platform.
    • Not to perform any action that could impose additional or unreasonable load on the Platform’s infrastructure.
    • Not to present or upload any files that contain programs or material, or data or information owned by anyone other than the User and for which the User does not have a license to use.
    • Not to use the Platform in any way to send messages of a commercial nature or spam messages which might present harm to the Platform or contact information on it
    • Refrain from publishing, advertising, distributing or circulating materials or information which contain defamation, violation of laws, pornographic or obscene materials, or contrary to Islamic teachings or public morals through the Platform, or that may put the Platform in violation of any applicable law or regulation implemented in any field.
    • Not to use the Platform for any illegal activity or any illegal act in the Kingdom
  7. User’s Obligation Regarding Third Party’s Information
  8. In the event a User enters personal date that is owned by a third party to the Platform, then the User must obtain express written consent prior to using the such data. Third Party shall express consent to the following:

    • Entering/Submitting his/her data to the Platform in accordance with these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.
    • Disclosure to competent government entities that regulating/supervising electronic services per the User requests.
    • Disclosure to government and non-government entities that are designated to receive the personal data and/or process and/or provide the requested service (“Targeted Entities”).
    • Disclosure to the entities that are authorized by Targeted Entities or by the Administration to receive or pass personal data whenever the implementation of the service requires access to, storage, processing and use of such data by any of those entities.
    • The Administration using the personal data for research purposes and statistics and service optimization provided that the usage is condensed and collected over time while maintaining confidentiality and keeping the identity of the User confidential.
  9. Content
  10. The Administration maintains the right to monitor any content entered by the User, but it is not obligated to do so, and the User is still responsible for any consequences the content entered. And the Administration reserves the right - without obligation - to strike, remove, or edit any input material that the Administration deems inappropriate or that would violate these terms or the privacy policy.

  11. External Links
    • Links to portals and/or other Internet sites may be provided on the Platform for the purpose of facilitating its visitor or user, and links to Platform may be placed on other portals and sites, and the Administration is not responsible for the contents, reliability, continuity or security of those portals and/or other sites, and it does not endorse its contents and does not bear any responsibility for any operations or procedures carried out through it.
    • The Platform is not associated with any trade, service, or other means used or appearing on websites linked to Platform or any of its contents and is not considered a participation in it in any way.
    • The platform management reserves the right to disable, cancel or redirect any link in any way.
  12. Intellectual Property Rights
    • All materials available on or displayed on the Platform, including data, information, designs, graphics - such as information graphics - and software and source code ("Content") are protected by laws, regulations and decisions related to intellectual property
    • It is allowed to use the Platform’s Content for personal or non-profit use, including information published on the Platform and that is accessed legally, subject to the User indicating that the Platform is the source of that content
    • It is not permissible in any way to sell, license, lease, modify, copy, reproduce, reprint, upload, advertise, transmit, distribute, publicly display, edit, create derivative works, or other forms of use of any of the Contents of the Platform for commercial purposes without obtaining the prior written consent of the Administration
  13. Limitation of Lability
  14. The Administration aims to investigate the accuracy, correctness and completion of the information available on the Platform. It also aspires to provide the Services in an efficient and continuance manner. Notwithstanding that the Administration bears no responsibipty of not achieving the goals herein, and wishes to note that the User should be aware that:

    • The Services provided through the Platform and all information and material available on it or can be accessed through it are provided “as is” or “as available” without any promises or guarantees of any kind and we cannot guarantee or bear responsibility for any interruptions, mistakes, overstepping that might arise from the use of this Platform or its Content whether with or without the Administration’s knowledge.
    • The Administration does not bear any responsibility for any claims, losses, costs, expenses, or damages of any kind without any limitation, general, special, incidental, consequential (resulting from any cause), or punitive based on any theory of liability, regardless of the event being foreseen such losses, damages or expenses or reimbursements or legal fees related to any use of the Platform and its information and that includes but is not limited to:
      • Any underperformance, mistake, shortcomings, interruptions or fault or delay in operation or transmission whether by faulty communication or error in accessing the internet or machine failure or software problems or any technical errors.
      • The existence of viruses or harmful programs or a system failure or error.
      • Any hack that targets the system or data within it or usage or any scam or any unauthorized access to the password used by another User.
      • Inability to receive any emails the Platform receives regarding any technical issues.
      • If the Administration terminates, suspends, and limits a User’s right to access the Platform and uses it.
    • Any general or interactive use provided by the Platform does not guarantee - and is not intended to guarantee - the user any rights, licenses or any privileges of any kind.
    • The User acknowledges waiving any right to any claim or complaint arising from User use of the Platform or his reliance on any of its content against the Administration or any of its departments/affiliates.
  15. Termination of Usage
  16. The Administration may, at its absolute discretion, terminate, restrict or suspend the User's right to access and use the Platform for any reason, including proven to have violated the obligations contained in the fourth clause of these Terms, or the privacy policy, or proven to have violated the applicable laws, regulations and decisions and violated the rights of others.

  17. Language
    • Arabic is the official language used on the Platform both to operate and to benefit from the published material. As an added service, some material - including the Laws and regulations - might be translated to other languages; to better understand its meanings to maximize benefit, however, the Arabic text of all the martial published on the Platform is the original reference. Therefore, translated versions of the material are dismissible and cannot be relied on to interpret any dispute related to the Platform’s content.
    • Arabic is the official language used to resolve any disputes arising from the use of the Platform or any of its content.

  20. Violations and Disputes
    • Any and all claims and dispute that arise from the use of this Platform is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the judicial authorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia located in Riyadh.
    • If the Administration delayed or refrained from filing a claim or exercising the rights vested to it according to these Terms or the Platform’s Privacy Policy, such action does waive its right to do so. Also, if the Administration waives any right available to it in light of these Terms or the Platform’s Privacy Policy, such waiver shall not constitute an automatic and permanent waiver of other rights therein.
  21. Updates to Terms of Use and Policies
  22. The Administration reserves the right to amend these Terms and the Platform’s Privacy Policy, and the User will be notified of this for approval, and the Administration may close or suspend the User's account if he/she does not accept the new version of the Platform’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
